LCHF French Onion Dip 

Ingredients

  • 50 g raw peeled onion
  • 20 g (1 tbs) extra virgin olive oil or butter
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 80 g Greek natural yoghurt or sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion
  2. Melt the oil or butter in a fry pan over medium heat
  3. Add the onions, cook for 5 minutes, stirring
  4. Remove from stove and allow to cool
  5. Place the cream cheese in a bowl and microwave on high for 20 to 30 seconds, or until soft enough to cream with a spoon (not melted)
  6. Add the yoghurt or sour cream and pepper and salt, mix until lump free
  7. Add the onions. Mix until just combined. Refrigerate until required
  8. Serve on a Low Carb Co crackers with smoked salmon and fresh dill
